CDG Builders revitalized two previously abandoned buildings into a high-end corporate headquarters campus. Over the main entry way to both Building A and B, the exterior walls were cut, new structural steel supports were added to support the new vertical glass accent marker. The exterior scope also included hard and soft demolition to make way for two new courtyards that feature all new architectural concrete walls and walkways. Sand blasting the entire building removed the existing heavy knockdown texture of and a finish coat of plaster resulted in a smooth modern look. After demolishing and abating the existing MEP systems, material dumb waiter, commercial kitchen and asbestos fireproofing, CDG built a new main entry lobby in Building A with millwork and floating ceiling accents, polished all interior concrete floors, and installed new lighting. In both Building A and Building B, an egress lighting system was installed via design-build delivery in the remaining vacant space, and a completely new fire alarm system was installed. Repairing the roofing system and parapet cap mitigated water intrusion. New electrical feeders for Building B were also installed. CDG also delivered a design-build fire water connection from the public point of connection on Katella Avenue onto the property to service both Building A and B.
